F5WC 2015: Nigerian Qualifiers For Dubai Five Aside World Championship Resume April 1st.


Chairman of the organizers of the Nigerian qualifiers for Dubai 2015 five aside world championship, World Football Fives, F5WC, has announced the resumption of the tournament after it went on break.

Confirming the Wednesday, April 1st date, Shamsudeen Yusuf who heads NewAge Sports Africa; rights holders and organizers of the competition, revealed that the issues drawing back resumption have been resolved and applauded the participanting teams, fans and members of the press for their patience and understanding.

The F5WC 2015 Nigerian qualifiers was put on hold following concerns over the situations precluding the Nigerian elections which fell around the same week and accommodation of teams’ request to take part even after registration had been closed.


With the 2015 General Elections out of way, and allotments sorted, qualified teams are directed to be present at the Legacy pitch astro turf at the National Stadium, Surulere on April 1st.

Other games which had been moved shall be played on that day, afterwhich the winners will play in the final knockout stages before the final that will hold on the same day. Winners of the tournament get to represent Nigeria in Dubai 2015 in April.

The LOC will be holding a press briefing tomorrow, Tuesday, March 31st to pass proper information as regards this development.
