Iroha Joins Heartland As Technical Supervisor
Former Nigeria left back, Ben Iroha is a new addiction to the Nazi Millionaires’ bench. He joins the coaching crew as Technical Supervisor.
Speaking to reporters after the team’s training session Tuesday, he revealed that he was contacted to help the team considering his wealth of experience.
”I just came back from the US some days ago and the GM found out I was in town, so he asked me to come and help the team in some technical area. Though they are not doing bad, but because of my experience he wanted me to put the lads in a better shape,” Iroha said.
It could be recalled that Iroha was was part of the Naze Millionaires’ coaching crew in 2007-2010, alongside Kelechi Emeteole when the club reached the 2009 CAF Champions League.
When asked if he will stay until the end of the season or beyond, this is what he had to say:
”Let’s hope so. For now I am here and I am impressed with what I have seen. They have talented players and I think all the lads need is the right mentality and someone to really bring out the best in them.
“If at the end of the season I am called upon to handle the team, I will humbly make myself available because I have been here before and
I contributed positively. I will like to do that again.”
Speaking about the game with Sharks tomorrow, he noted that he has looked at the records of both clubs and with the quality of players in camp, Heartland FC has an upper hand over their opponents.
